Pigmented leather is also known as protective leather as it has a protective top coating. This coat makes the pigmented leather last longer than other kinds of leather and hence this kind of leather is the best choice for those who own pets and have children.
There are 3 types of pigmented leather, namely:
-Full grain pigmented leather.
-Corrected grain pigmented leather.
-Finished split pigmented leather.
Pigmented leather needs to be treated gently and needs cleaning on a daily basis. Here are a few ways in which one can maintain their pigmented leather products/articles:
- Dusting should be done at least twice a week, a soft cloth or a soft vacuum brush should be used to do the same, avoid using a hard brush.
- In case of any liquid spill on pigmented leather material, make sure you do not use water to clean off the spill, rather make use of a damp cloth as this will help dab the spill.
- Avoid using any household cleaning products, as its effects may be adverse.
- When using any leather cleaning agents, pay attention to what the instructions have to say and if possible (highly recommended though) test it on a small area.
